is this somthin to be conserned about...
i was installing my aem cai and as i was under my car looking at ways to feed the pipe through i spotted this

can some tell me what should i do? since el cajon mitsubishi is closed, im gonna call the service dept in the mornin from work ask them if it is a serious issue and if its covered under warrenty..if not how much will it be to fix it.
so now my elbow part of my aem sits like this to make it fit

its not the way right way but my dad needed the garage to pull his truck in.. that is only temp untill i can 1st fix that crack cause its bothering me and 2nd i can route the lower pipe properly.. i test drove the car around the block with the elbow like that and it seems ok no issues that i can see or hear ... dont worry the elbow will be in its right position once i fix the crack issue

yeah i know it on wrong.. i didnt feel like putting it in the "correct" way at the time and it was pitch dark.. im gonna head to pepboys and get some peices to correct the problem . need somthin to correct the fitment of the lower pipe... looks like im gonna have to pull the upper rad pipe off and remove the batt so i can have a better work area to feed the lower pipe

The exhaust pipe looked like that since the day it was bolted on at the factory. It's not a crack, it's a seam in the metal, and it looks exactly as it should.
Was this intake intended for the lancer? Why not just put the filter right on the MAF sensor and leave the stock rubber hose intact? That way the cone sits back behind the battery and away from the hot exhaust manifold. It does the same thing as your fancy intake. A pipe is a pipe, dude. Sorry but having a shiny metal pipe instead of a black rubber one does not give you any more power.
