It seams that this is the way I will go. Nice look good power with out the attention of the "test pipe" sound.

Should be out within 3 months. So far I love it. It gives better throttle response, especially on the freeway(very impressive on the freeway actually).

here's an update I got from HKS

"Chris,

The 08 Lancer Hi-Power should be in stock within the next couple of
weeks! The part number is 32003-BM002 and the MSRP will be about $580."

I'm sure you'll find it at a lower price

I love the sound of the HKS hi-power on the scion tc, but I don't think an axle back is worth $580.

axle back is pretty much the same as getting a HKS muffler and putting it on there..if you have somone that knows how to use good custom piping..performance wise is going to be almost the same

Well it's personal preference. I'm sure that's not the price you will find it at and also if you want a quiet exhaust.

Looks great. Sounds pretty similar from inside the car to mine, although yours seems to have a bit deeper, throatier sound when listening from the rear of the car than the Magnaflow that I picked-up from RRM a few months back, which is what I'd personally prefer, but then again I'm never behind my own car to listen to it.

Seriously, I bought an Hks muffler and had a shop put it on, sounds and performs more than likely the same, just cost me about 100 cheaper than this was apparently.
