Road///Race Upgrades Put Goodsport on Podium
Road///Race Upgrades Put Goodsport on Podium
We just installed the Road Race Motorsports CAI, ECU, and Header, as well as the RRM suspension strengthening components, on the Goodsport '08 Lancer, and the results were fantastic. We haven't yet had an opportunity to dyno the car, but the parts added some significant horsepower without resorting to cams or other expensive items.
At our first competition outing with the new parts, we managed to place 2nd in class at the NASA/GRM Ultimate Track Car Challenge, so it appears the parts aren't just for looks. And with some super sized sticky rubber on the car, the tubular chassis braces are turning out to be necessary to control unwanted movement in the suspension.

Goodsport Racing is looking forward to proving the durability of the Road///Race products and appreciates the opportunity to work with a class act like Robert Tallini.

I think you mean Short ram intake system.
I have the majority of suspension and go-fast goodies from Road-Race so i'm well aware of the fun your lancer is having.
stock sucks. and good luck on the future events you participate in

Awesome, the car looks great. I'm sure you guys will bring some good, and maybe needed, publicity to RRM (for the 08+ mods).
Also glad to hear about non-evo's tearing up the tracks.

Wow, that keeping on topic huh. Maybe a pic will help..........
Meantime we are glad to lend our experience with Lancer to real racers like Dave and Robi. We will continue working with them in the future. Together with the great prep and setup they did and the addition of the missing pieces from RRM this car is going to always show well. Congrats on the finish. Can't wait to peddle that thing around Buttonwillow soon. Between this RACE CAR and the GYMKHANA CAR we did for MItsu we are sure we are going to have more competition experience to pass on to everyone and continue R & D of new practical products. 2nd PLACE ROCKS.

I like the ride height!!! (I'm a sucker for a slammed ride with LOTS of travel left for racing....) Car felt like a tall sports car (we got to get the seat lower!)
fun car to drive (needs more POWER......) I know I'm turbo spoiled!

KW Coilovers are on it along with GRIP sway bar. That is the right combo to make the car handle correctly. OUr swaybar and springs is all you need for the street or a little autocrossing but for Long track TIME Attacking, Coilovers are a must.
