mods
w/o a tune and no info on any other mods you will not see that power. You will barely feel it and if you do it will probably be top end. Amby, a mod had almost every N/A mod avail and I dont think he made 10 whp on the dyno. This was w/o a tune of course.
I had 2.5 exhaust system with no intake and boy did it pull!
1st to 2nd my pull from low end torque was pulling!!
Ordered a RRM 4-1 header had it on and it pulled even higher on the high end torque, got a RRM test pipe helped A LOT
Intake small gain lol, but that piggy should do something good.
My gains were good but i don't think you will get 30 hp from it. i never dynoed my car or tune it and still saw really good gains but not that much.
Turbo is the way to go!!

My honest guess, you maybe picked up 5 hp at the most. I had way more mods than you and I gained a net total of 2 hp (gained 5 whp but lost 3 wtq). For a complete description, see the link in my sig. There is a vast difference between feeling faster and actually being faster. I know my car gained 0 hp when I went to a JDM axleback but it certainly sounds better. The same more or less applies to your mods, they make the car sound faster (especially the header) but they do diddly **** in terms of gains.
lol i forgot to mention yeah it makes it sound fast like amby said theres a difference from feeling to being fast.
hey its all about the car enthusiast doing it for yourself ! thats what its all about

It's been said before- computer controlled fuel injected engines are pretty much maxed out from the factory. Four cylinders especially. If your goal is a better sound, get headers and an exhaust, but it won't give you any more significant usable power. I would concentrate on suspension, the Lancer can be a great handling car.

I got 2 cents for ya!
I did a host of breather mods and piggyback and noticed a nice difference. Of course it aint a huge difference but put me head to head with stock lancer and i'll eat it alive. No i've never dynoed and have no clue how much horsepower i gained but installing the stuff was half the fun.
Dont get hung up on numbers. If it feels better and sounds better then mission accomplished.
I know i've prolly said this a bunch of times on here before, but the best mod i ever did was light weight wheels. My car accelerated better, stopped faster, and even felt more responsive to steering inputs. Rotational mass has a huge effect. especially on under powered cars like the lancer.
But 30 ponies from those mods? No way. Really theres prolly not to many cars that would gain that from headers, intake, and piggy.

well my logic was i was told i would get a10-20% hp gain from headers a 10% gain from the piggy and im lowballing a 2% from intake thats ~25% gain and at 120hp that would be 30 hp?
haha maybe im just doing crappy math in my head...
oh and ambystom01 what do you mean by thats not true? the handling or the maxed out, out of the box thing?

The maxxed out part is incorrect.
