4G69 swap, opinions
The 4G69 in the Ralliart, which would have *possibly* similar mounting points as the regular Lancer (04+) is a different design and thus would need some customization. For example, the throttle cable setup is right where the PS / AC stuff is on the Lancer. That's just one example of how the unknown comes in. Wiring harness issues you will have to address ....
Honestly, if you are concerned about time and price, the only engine swap you should really be doing is a 4G94 into a 4G94.

Yeah, if you don't have much time or money on your hands, I'd suggest regular mods. A turbo alone takes a decent amount of time, and that if everything goes perfectly. I guarantee an engine swap will go perfect the first day you start on it. There is always going to be some small part you forget about or end up needing when you go through with it. Usually coming in right at midnight when everything seems to be going great and all the stores and shops are closed.
this isnt new its been done, diavlo did it in his 1.6l in the uk where the motor is not even available.Using his info you could do it , and do to the motor being available here for cheap it shouldnt be a big deal the problem is you need more than just the motor you need...
quoted from diavlos thread.and all these things cost money
4G69 engine (doesnt matter if it is from AT or MT, but if it is from an Auto like mine was youll need a flywheel and clutch. Also make sure it has everything left on it, like the starter etc)
4G69 transaxle
4G69 drive axles
4G69 ancillaries if not on engine (ps pump, ac compressor, alternator)
ECM
Engine Wiring Harness
Exhaust
Fuel Pump

This is what he said
What I must stress however, is that it is NOT worth doing this swap to a perfectly good ES or OZ Rally, you might as well just trade in for a RA. I did not have that choice as the 2.4 is not available in Europe or anywhere except the USA, Canada, Australia and a few other far-off locations from the UK!
His point about just trading in for a ralliart doesnt take into consideration the fact that some 02-03s go for really cheap especially in the states, maybe a shell with a blown motor for 1-2 k and the ralliart parts for 2 k for everything. so for less than $5000 you get a 2.4l lancer with 130 whp to start. PlUS iTs GoT mAd MiVeC!
Seriously though these prices might not be accurate but it makes you think of the possibilitys
Exactly I thought the 06s were rated at 172? either way its 40-50 hp more than the 4g94 plus being 2.4l its going to have more torque
