fuel pressure

fuel pressure

just bought a new fuel pressure regulator, its off of a 94 honda civic, aem and works great fits with no problems. my only question is how do i know when to stop turning it up?? right now its set kinda midway and the car drives like it did with a lil better curve but i think i can turn it up some more so how do i know when to stop??

Without a fuel gauge, essentially, you're going to have to stop whenever you bog out or smell copious amounts of unburned fuel in your tract.

thanks but i turned it up all the way and it bogged so i backed it off a bit, i am getting a guage for it but i am still ignorant to what the fuel pressure should be

stock fuel pressure is 38psi. injectors are rated at 240cc at 43.5psi so i'd say turning it up to 43.5-44psi is safe.

stock fuel pressure is 38 psi all the time? my turbo lancer is at 29 psi at idle but it runs very lean boost even with the vortech fmu
and up graded fuel pump

If it runs very lean, DO NOT DRIVE IT. Fix the problem before you sieze or grenade your engine.
