Wiseco Pistons...?

Is this a good buy for $400? And are they able to stand 10-14 psi?

Aren't our stock pistons good until like 13-14psi?

I would say looks worth it. Its up to you and also get rods. Get a better head gasket too.

Yeah, whoa 13 to 14 psi on stock internals is a no go. I would say 10psi is max, but you would never wanna run that on a daily basis. I would say at 8.5 psi on stock internals is okay and would work for a while. Upgrading the headgasket would help to keep it from tearing down from.

Yea 10 is pushing it on stock internals.
But as for the Pistons, it doesn't say anything if they're aftermarket or oem. Stupid eBay

But of course you can't get pistons without rods, silly

I don't mean all the internals, just the pistons... I thought the first weak point is the rods, but the pistons are ok for a little higher. People change both b/c it makes sense to do both at the same time. Correct me if I'm wrong.

No pistons are pretty weak on our cars. So just having aftermarket rods with stock pistons isn't good for high boost.

Ok I think I'm just not saying something right I thought after 10 psi rods need to be changed and around 13-14 pistons...

No your right, but who knows how long they would last. The motor is bore and stroked of course cannot handle high amounts of boost.

---Edit---
The major weakpoint of this motor is the bottom end, namely the pistons and the rods. If you plan on heavily modifying the motor, it is suggested to upgrade to forged pistons and heavier duty rods.

I wouldn't push our stock internals that far. Better off just replacing them, port and polish the head, and boost at 14 psi.
That's what I'm doing.

Yeah, better to be safe than sorry. 14 psi is gonna pull. You would probably be happy with that. I'm happy with just 7 psi. Honestly i will wanna make it pull 18+, but thats later
