Engine, Computer, or what?
I am going to agree here as well and just point out that it is very hard for a company that deals with making parts for a brand new car/engine to test EVERY situation. First of all if the extremely cold weather is causing this issue, RRM is based in Cali... think about it. On top of that, I have heard of two issues like this. That is it. There have been TONS of people who have used this product with no adverse affects.
IMHO, human error... sorry guys

It could have been a heat issue when it comes to the intake. I hate not letting the car warm up, but I had to leave the house right then. I literally started up the car in 16 degree weather and left the driveway. When the car started it was at around 1500rpms until reverse was engaged which it went to 750rpm. It was not until i put it in drive (cvt gts) when it went back up to 1500rpm with a heavy cam type lope, engine light on, and wouldn't let me get past 10-15 mph. I got about two blocks before I pulled over, turned it off and started it back up in like 10 seconds, same thing. So I did a slow k-turn where the car stalled every time I switched from reverse to drive, and parked it on the street. My father got me to work (luckily he was home, and got he car back home with no problems except an ses) I was angry when I wrote the previous statement, so I do retract the rrm bashing. I would not call this a "human error" in any way other than the let the car warm up before going. I would think it has something to do with the variable valve tech/maf/cvt, as when I tried to leave the house after 2000 rpm, the car pretty much shut down, and pulled that nonsense. One other theory is that the air was so cold going into a cold engine that it leaned the fuel mixture out way to much, messing up the air to fuel ratio, making the car run with the terrible lope, and with that tripping an engine safety feature (idk)? My question to the other guy with the same problem, is if your car is a cvt or 5 speed, as I have noticed the cvt slipping previous weeks when it was around that same temperature. I don't have a scanner, and refuse to get one, because 1. I'm cheap, and 2. I plan on getting rid of the car soon as I can get my career off the ground. The reason I bought it in the first plae was, my previous car died completely (1988 cutlass supreme with 165,000+ miles on it) and I needed something quickly to get back and forth to college. The lancer looked the best in that price range and with little research I impulse bought it, and kind of regret it. Yeah it's worlds better than the Oldsmoblie, but what isn't? Ha. (sry for the off topic at the end there) Oh, and I reset the ecu again and the car is fine, so I give the intake one more chance before it ends up in the for sale section of this forum.

Sorry guys I lost my internet for a sec. I have to say that RRM has GREAT customer service. I have not had a issue since I started letting it warm up. I let it warm up until the rpm is at 1000. Then when I go to leave I dont just slam on the gas, I take it easy until the temp raises alittle. To the person above I have the CVT (no paddles). And it usually only happens when it's below 30 degrees.
