...but they are not as durable. They are only rated to roughly 400whp. These are being made from 4340, just like Pauter and Crower rods are.

And that price is in AUD, which comes to about the same price as Speedcorps, minus shipping

RRM and Speedcorps don't actually make the rods, they're made by someone else and simply supplied by those vendors. It really doesn't make a difference, I doubt people are going to be pushing the car so much that they start snapping forged rods, I would think the engine itself would start to go before that.
