09 Lancer GTS. Had it for about 10 months with around 22k miles on it. The only problem I have, which a couple of other local Lancer owners also have, is slight rusting between the rear door and tire. Its only small dots from where the paint has chipped but it still sucks. No other mechanical problems though.

Have an 09 es, window noise was my only issue. Thought I was the only one, I'll have to try the superglue trick though, other than that, car has been very good to me.

I have to say, paint job on lancer is just horrible. I got too many rock chips on hood and side doors. Other than that, it's great car overall.

09 GTS CVT
14,500kms(9,000 miles)
Problems
-Pulls to left @ highway speeds
-got blue tooth module replaced 2X
-rear bumper fell off cause they forgot to fasten the bolts so it worked itself loose
-Finally, had over 300 rock chips on my car before I got them fixed and proper clear coat applied

^^ yea a little around the edges, probably from the tire shop being sloppy when using the impact gun

I had my 09 GTS for 8 months now.

No major issues after going through the wonderful winter we have here in Quebec (it's crazy really, worst place to own a car after Siberia.)

Only problem is of course paint chips on the hood... I'm thinking of getting the hood deflector.

Is there something we can do for that paint warranty wise?

Wheels and front lip soon!

'08 ES purchased new in July '08. Just passed 30K miles. I've done all the service, including 30K service, myself, and I have followed the Mitsu service schedule.

The only "problem" I have had with the car is that there have been about a dozen times when the car did not respond the first time I tried to start it. However, it has always gone ahead and started on the 2nd or 3rd try.

A couple of chips on the hood, but not much to even notice.

Very happy so far, except I wish the steering wheel had a telescope feature.

Mixed feelings. I would say over all, I can live with it but, it was a disappointing purchase and i will not be purchasing another Mitsu product again.

Still have the hard start issue.. Been to the dealer 3 times. I only brought it in when this happened more than 3 times, or when i was bringing it in for maintenance.

The sunroof was cracking all around the edges and had to be replaced

The door check broke??? on the passanger side

Car looks like it has been sandblasted on the sides

Lights randomly turning on when I press unlock (think it's a link to the hard start)

From a "cold" start, speratic RPM speed. and intense rattling in exhaust for 10 Seconds

I think the computer needs to be replaced. all the rental lancer's i've had drove 75% better than mine in terms of smooth ness, engine noise and performance and CVT function. Every time I bring it, they reprogram the computer which fixes it's issues for a day or 2, then runs like crap agian... So maybe the computer needs to be replaced?

Just disapointed, granted its an "economy" car but, thats still 22K that i'm paying for an unsatified product. WHatever though, i guess i'll deal with it until i can trade it in. I really like the car's apperance and feeling, just hate the shotty workmanship in this car. My $.02

I've had my 08 Lancer for 2 years now. 50K miles, not one problem yet. It's a good buy!
