Love the Injen. Can't say anything about the competition, but the Injen is great. Love the sound that the engine makes now, sounds alot more powerful, and feels a little more powerful. It's not really that it is, but the lag that is found in most gears is noticibly decreased, and just kicks more off the line. Have to say, it compliments my APEXi quite well, and really has completed the mods that I can afford, and want to do at this time. I am much satisfied.

AEM Bypass valve

If you are so worried about sucking water into the Injen intake put a bypass valve on it. As for the person who had it installed onto their Injen, he bought the wrong size valve. AEM make a few different size valve for all different size intakes since their intakes are not one size tube. A bunch of my friends put them on their Injen.

Just measure the size of the pipe, get the valve. Onthe area where the pipe goes straight down cut about an inch out clamp on the valve and you are set,

Problem solved.

All it takes is a little looking into to get the right stuff.

Just for info, the pipe is 2 3/4". Curious if anyone know the size of the piping for the Weapon R...

Mods

I just got my lancer and want to make mods, but i'm new to this (only 16) i want several things to boost my HP without the turbo (that comes later)...i just want to know what would be best to do, i was think about putting a cold air intake, a new exhaust system and a computer chip. How much will this boost my car and how much will it cost. thanks

I'd have to disagree..new exhaust and new intake will be more than 3 or 4 hp to the wheels...regardless of mag claims. My RMR intake "felt" like closer to 5 hp by itself.

Instead of a new chip, get new injectors at a higher flow. 700cfm should be sufficient.
