305? come on a real camaro has at least a 350. Just kidding my dad is a chevy guy. he can build a v8 with his eyes closed, but I have to teach him about new electronics all the time. He couldn't fathom the fact that we don't have distributors."how do you adjust the timing" so I told him buy a chip.

yeah actually in the 80's the 305 had the same torque as the 350, just a little less horsepower. And you couldn't get the 350 with a stick... talk about lame.

dang, this is going way OT. What was this thread about again?

Decompresion head gasket,Rods and valve springs to like 11-12 psi. safely. But then again theres no true way to say boosting is safe.

Talk to boeturbolancer, he has done plenty of things where he feels he can run 10 psi safely with race fuel, and so far he hasn't broken anything. I think he brings it down to 6 psi on the street, but races it at 10 with no problems.

good choice, I've seen plenty of people blow things even at 6psi because of different issues. So only go above that if you have done careful engine upgrades, rebuilds, and only use natural oil (I think 10-50, but you'd be best to ask an actual turbo person on that)
