Sigh another stupid question

Is it true you cant put a cold air intake an an automatic?... They all say MT only.

You certianly can put one on an Auto. It has nothing to do with the tranny. The reason they may something about not fitting a cold air on the Auto is a clearance issue. But they must make one for both setups. Im not super familiar with the lancer's setup.

I know for the neon 1st gen Neon's the Iceaman CAI could be modified for an Auto trans. Basically it had to be cut a little shorter. Look around im sure you'll find one for your car.

Your not the only one with an auto lancer

yeah I really wish I had a manual. But Im kinda stuck with what I have for now... (until I get my evo :P)

i hear ya. Just make sure you don't dump too much into the lancer. Save up for an evo. Unfortunately they are being sold very cheap these days. Not unfortunate for you of course

Youll be happy in an Evo for sure

just make yourself an intake not that hard. or just get one off ebay. dont waist your money on a overpriced unit. they all add about the same hp gain.
