Ok, sorry for another thread about this stuff, but I would like to know, where are you guys finding these engines? like is there a website or should I be searching junkyards...

parts junkyards, u-pull-its, we-pull-its, don't buy off ebay, craigslist, used car with a good engine.

well it depends on what yur gonna do to it. if yur gonna build it, then find a cheaper one since yur gonna tear it apart ne way. if yur gonna drop and go then ya look for a better one

like when i was gonna build a g94 i found one for $150 with well over 100k on it but i didnt care cause i was gonna tear it apart and build it to better specs anyway

So i have an 03 OZ and my engine is acting all funny either i'm going to just swap it for a newer stock one or i want to put the 05 ralliart engine in it. I'm almost positive that i saw that swap somewhere on here with pictures and it was fairly all simple like just ECU and something else can someone please give me a solid answer or the link to that post.

 

I don't think I've seen a ralliart swap, just 4g64 swap to the evo's engine....and that's a sticky. Probably best to figure why it's acting funny though. 4g64 swap isn't really worthwhile imo unless you want to move up to the 400+ hp range

 

4G69 is a horrible choice, due to all the wiring for MIVEC and whatnot.
