Some pull off the power steering pump, some notch the bracket to get a socket on it. I just used a wrench and did the old 1/8 turn and flip the wrench, time consuming but works.

The easiest way is to pull the black plastic cover for the timing belt and bend the metal piece back as far as you can and get at it from there.... It is a very easy way to get at that tricky left nut!

After you use this method you can put a header on and off all day long~

Same way I did mine and it's TIME CONSUMING. Almost all of my install time was removing and replacing that damn nut...

*sigh* I had the same problem when I installed my turbo.. I just notched the steering pump bracket with a carbon tip on a drill, took me about 5 minutes but looks really clean.

use one of those 5 or 6 inch open end wrench and just try to take it off from the top. all you're really trying to do here is crack the initial seal. it'll move like maybe a centimeter or two cuz thats all the space you have. then after you break the seal, just loosen it from the bottom(bellow and behind the header). got it off in maybe 5 mins the first time around(with a cooled off engine, of course ).

DITTO DITTO DITTO, dont do it any other way! soooooo easy, took me 5 min to get that bolt off. make sure you put a towel or something down where the timing belt is so you are sure not to drop any tools/bolts down in the housing, otherwise youre gonna have yourself one hell of a sticky wicket.
