OK, this should be a short thread. I want to remove and paint my radiator mounts because they've gotten pretty coroded. My basic question is this - at the point where the mount holds the radiator, do you just pull up to remove it? I'm nervous about grabbing it and yanking.
unbolt, pull up and off. Deyeme Racing makes a lightweight (as if it really mattered) mount with a colored urethane bushing and anodized bolt as well if you're interested. I got to test their prototype and though I had no problem with vibration before, I'm confident I will not in the future either.

OK. That's what I figured, but I thought it best to check. Thanks Hobes.
Yeah, I may buy the Deyeme down the road, but I'm not bothering with too much dress-up right now. I figure a coat or two of paint will do the job just as good. And since I already have the paint, it's free.

Hey, I had to try for Travis at DMR's sake. Real nice guy and he was most helpful with me with the product testing as well as organizing the motor mount group buy. Besides, they're cheap and it would probably solve your color issue.

Thanks for the props on the brackets. They do look sweet. We've been making them for the Neon for over 5 years now, and never had any complaints. On most of the cars, including the Lancer, the brackets move the radiator *slightly* closer to the upper crossbrace, which will force a little more air into the radiator that might otherwise slip over it. More importantly, they're made of brushed aluminum alloy. That means you can polish 'em, paint 'em, or leave 'em as-is, and they look awesome. We've lowered the price for a bit to just $19.00, so get 'em while they're hot!
And as mentioned above, they come with poly grommets, and anodized aluminum bolts and washers.
We also have the battery hold-down bracket on sale for the same price. Very strong, also aluminum alloy, and comes with anodized aluminum nuts and washers.

Travis,
In light of the sale, could you give me DMR's phone number? For some reason your website doesn't mesh well with my computer and I can't see anything. I would like to get a set.

Actually, I think I just got it to work. It only seems to have problems if I just look at Lancer parts, but I found what I need. Thanks. Ordering now.

EDIT: Ordered. Very easy. Gotta stop impulse buying, though. *smacks self*
