Buschur cat back is bolt on, RRM Axle back is bolt on, RMR axle back is bolt on. Dunno about the other (VPS I believe? )

Gonna move this to tech forums. Eh...questionable, but I believe it belongs there.

I can't speak for the other exhausts, but I love the sound of my Buschur cat-back. Mandrel bent 2.5" piping. It was $370 shipped. Buschur Racing.

One complaint: It was VERY difficult to make it sit properly. Make certain it is sitting properly or it WILL melt your bumper.

EDIT: Pretty much everything available specifically for a car is a bolt-on. Short of a custom job you won't have to worry about welding really.

The other cat-back exhaust is the VRS exhaust...no cats, no resonators. All straight through piping and yes it's "clamp on" (a.k.a. bolt on). It's the only true cat-back aside from the Buschur. There's still the option of either the RRM or RMR axel-backs (new term I guess ) and getting custom piping done if you so wish.

Less resistance. The cats are the bottlenecks in your exhaust system. That and it will be LOUD AS HELL.

A cat-back replaces the piping from behind the catalytic convertor to the muffler while the straight through exhaust pjal mentioned would go past the catalytic convertor, eliminating it completely. It would greatly increase exhaust flow, but there's no way in hell it would pass emissions. Plus I'm sure there'd be a huge fine if you were ever found with it driving on the street. My advice would be to couple a cat-back system with a high-flow cat. Should still pass emissions.
