04 WRC Lancer with 4g63 and AWD

I was just curious how the 04 WRC Lancer which is based on the CS6A Lancer Chassis (our chassis) is running a 4g63 with all wheel drive if "supposedly" the transmission won't line up.

Obviously someone is lying, and I don't think its the WRC people.....

Yup. Just remember, when it's Mitsubishi, they can find a way to put it in. It IS their car. And when it's for a WRC team, you find a way.

Actually to be honest, I think a 120 hp engine pushing the added weight and power loss of AWD would probably defeat any benefits in handling. Maybe with the Ralliart Lancer, though.

i agree with urbanknight, just because we have four limbs does not mean i am going to try to use all of them to run, same with our US lancers there is a point where sense has to over come cents. just because it is and you can does not mean you should.

suggestion- spend money more efficiently

Obviously you wouldn't be using a 120hp engine.....What cars are 120 hp and have AWD in N.A.? None....Europe, a few of them smart car type things.

It has a 4G63 (DOHC Turbo for those who don't know) shoehorned in it. Not our 4G94.

its not exactly shoehorned. we've already established that besides the transmission and motor mounts the 4g63 feels right at home in the cs6a's engine bay.

rally03, your posts have been deleted because you posted on completely unrelated topics. On top of that, if you want answers, just look around.

I hate to bring up an ancient and completed post, BUT I was curious about something.

Are there any FWD transmissions that will bolt up to a 4G63 into a CS6A chassis? I realize the cost to get these parts is probably insane, but I'm talking to someone with a 4G63 for sale and my imagination is in overdrive.
