Plug In Data Logger - PC Interface

So the idea was mentioned to me, so i'm gaging interest.

How many people would be interested in a data logger for their car. Log things like AFR voltage, timing, exhaust temp, etc...

I'm curious as I'm thinking about building at least one for my own good, if not for more people. No idea what cost would be yet.. depends on the chips and everything else and how many I try to build etc. Probably between 150 and 300 would be about my best guess at this point. That'd be all the hardware, connectors, and software. It would require no wiring or wire splicing (I'd make harnesses to split signals off of the stock connectors, so no need to cut or splice wires) etc.

Any thoughts?

What would you want measured?
Reasonable cost?
PC Interface with downloading for Excel graphing, or Full out graphing interface?

Let me know.

If I get enough interest I'll start working on a proto pretty soon, it'd take about a month to two months to get things put together. So I'd have loggers ready by the summer most likely. And obviously I'd have to register as a Vendor or something at that point as well.

Thanks guys,

Steve

Hadn't seen that before... but that was basically what I was going to try to make... but obviously not a real need . Anyone have this or try it at all??

I've got a regular obdII scanner, it's really just good for reading codes, and clearing ones that are "clearable" without making a repair or adjustment. I've been using now a lot because of my rrm header and the lovely cel it trips with that o2 sensor. I've got a mil eliminator comin' but from what I've heard they don't work.
