Any kind. An air filter is an air filter. Obviously, you need to make sure it fits, but beyond that, you just need to choose a manufacturer that you trust/price that you like.

i have injen intake, and when it comes around to changing it, you cant just buy a new k&n, they dont fit. the diameter is bigger on the injen filter, maybe k&n has one that is bigger, but you gotta make sure. as for the recharge kit, it works, thats what i did, just cleaned my injen filter. laterz

That's what I was thinking, why do you need to change it? They're washable!

I washed my AEM CAI filter and used a K&N cleaner/recharge kit on it. Works great, no troubles!

I just read that the Injen is washable, so I'm just going to buy the recharge kit. I might get a spare Injen filter though so when I clean the old one I can just put the atoher one on and go. Doe's anyone know how big the diameter is on the filter?

it's probably 4" but you should take the filter off and check to make sure (insude diameter). But I wouldn't worry about getting a "spare". Just wash the filter before you go to bed at night, and it will be dry by the time you wake up. If you still want a spare, I did see plenty of options at Pep Boys that looked like K&N copies for about $20 (they looked nicer, too )

Well since I just did a lot of research on filters in the past few days I'll share what I found. You can basically buy a K&N in any size and shape you would need. Go to their parts page, select a shape, then browse for the size you need. Start with the inner diameter and go from there. When you have the part number, go to AJ-USA, type in the part number, and off you go. They have the best prices on K&N I have found yet.
