Ebay Intake Install

hey guys, i wasn't 100% sure where this goes so i decided it would fit best here. mods feel fre to move or tell me and i can delete and post elsewhere

ok, so heres my question, i bought an ebay intake, 40 bux shipped, it came to my door today but i have no clue where to start to install it. it did not come with instructions but i already knew that before i bought it.

so if anyone ahs this intake, or knows how to install it please if you can give me a basic expalantion of where to start and waht to do. thx a lot guys (and gals)

o and if u were wondering, the intake came in 2 days after i paid and it seems very well built and the pieces seem to be of high quality.

my intake is exactly this onehttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEBWN%3AIT

Elbow goes between your MAS and TB. Filter and adaptor go on the other side of the MAS.

Did you by chance get a strap or support bracket with it as well?

Let me do the best I can - mind you that I have an RRM Intake...

First Remove the Stock Airbox Assembly... The snorkle comes off by removing the pin at the base... Push the button down, and lift the pin out. The snorkle is only friction fit into the air box.

2) Remove the front half of the air filter box by undoing the straps, sliding the filter out and rotating the box forward until the front half comes off.

3) Remove the bolts holding the filter box down, and the bolts between the MAS and the back of the box. You can now remove the entire box. If I remember right, the throttle cable clips to the box, and you'll have to unclip it.

4) Some people say reset the ECU when you do something like this - I'm unsure as to its effectiveness - so while you're at it, I'd disconnect the negative battery terminal... just make sure you don't touch it to the (+) one.

5) Remove the Rubber tube from the TB by loosening the clamps and sliding it off... Do the same with the boot @ the rear of the MAS. Take special care not to damage the MAS - it's expensive, and important.

6) Put the E-Bay Elbow on.

7) If you're bracket is like any of the other ones, it goes from one of the bolt holes on the adaptor plate (Driver Side) to the grounding point nearby.

6) Bolt the adaptor plate up to the MAS - Get the strap in at the same time.

7) Install cone filter.

8) Hook the battery back up...

9) Enjoy.

If you feel in over your head, I'd recommend finding someone mechanically inclined to lend a hand.

I have that intake, works awesome, sounds sweet too. I used K&Ns intake install directions. If you really need more detailed directions, PM me, AIM me, or Email me, and I'll help.

MAT has their own site too, and they seem to be a reputable company. It's very easy. If you can turn a wrench you can install an intake. rhitme's instructions should be more than enough to go by. Good luck.
