aem sells their by-pass valve...... check into it. i remember seeing/reading a "test" on their by-pass valve, they put a cold air intake on a nsx i believe........ installed the by-pass valve and submerged the filter in a glass case (fish tank style) of water. nothing happened. all the water was re-directed out of the by-pass valve. so it works according to them. i think it sells for somewhere around $50 or so.

let me see here........ i'm looking throught the aem catalog. they have 2.25, 2.5, 2.75, and 3.0 inch diameter. so just measure your pipe, and you should be able to use one. just cut pipe in half, add on, and your good to go.

so i tried cranking the engine without plugs, dried everthing, cleaned everything with carb cleaner, and reset the ECU, theengine still idles rough and shuts off after 1 minute. the check engine light is still on and a shiet load of carbon is still shooting out of the exhaust..there is a guggling sound and the engine shakes vigorously. im gonna do a compression test and engine diagnostics. i called ROB and he said that it might be a bent rod. but won't a bent rod not allow the engine to start at all??

yeah man.. that bypass i sold it to you at 50% off, its was originally $40. hopefully you don't run into the same problem. i dropped it off at the dealer and they are gonna pump out the engine and rinse it down with some chemical. its starting to idle fine, but only time will tel if i have any long term damages.
