Actually, you answered your own question...

But OK.. AXLE back. CAT back. TURBO back. places where the exhaust starts from.. then goes back to the end (tip). So if you want the looks and some of the sound (SOME) and MAYBE some of the performance for a cheaper price, then the axle-back is for you. But you won't get the 3" piping. sorry, no pics. I have the stock exhaust.

Turboback - Exhaust from the Turbo to the rear bumper tip...
Cat-Back - Exhaust from the end of the catalytic converter back to the rear bumper tip...
Axle Back - from the rear axle to the rear bumper...

Obviously if u dont have turbo...no turbo back....cat-back deletes the resonator and enlarged piping usually increases performance....axleback just sounds nice.

well if its just a muffler and a about a foot of piping its an axle back, if it looks like all new piping from the CAT back then its a cat back.

lol nice and simple i like it... hahaha

well the reason the axle back won't give you too much gains is cause it doesn't really increase the air flow... with a cat back you considerably increase the airflow cause you increase the diameter of the piping, with the turbo back... you do so by getting rid of anything in the way
