Straight pipe the axle back section of your exhaust (leave the cat and resonator) and also get a cone filter. Can't do a lot power-wise for the 4g94 unfortunately, but at least it'll let the thing breathe instead of choke the crap out of it as mitsu had chosen to do and make it more enjoyable to drive. You'll have to make/buy a MAF adapter plate for the filter to fit, but if you're crafty you can hack up the stock air box and not have to spend anything

Performance-wise the difference between that and a DIY intake isn't too noticeable, but it will look about a thousand times better! +1 on that tranny question though

Either way is better than that giant airbox I'd think. Short ram has been doing well for me so far, but sometimes I feel as if the underhood temp is higher than stock... Has anyone else had that issue? I'd go with a cold air though if you had the choice between it and the SRI just cause it looks like there's a way to get intake piping into the front bumper behind the driver's side fog and that would be way better than hot underhood air

Another thing you could also do is go into your friendly neighborhood junkyard and buy up some cheap rear suspension components (sway bar, upper/lower control links, etc.) from an 04-06 Ralliart or 06 ES that'll tighten it up quite a bit in the corners. Give this site a good look around cause there is quite the abundance of really helpful info here

could end up being a pretty good deal, actually almost got one too if the pocketbook would've allowed. If I remember there are some audio clips of bunches of different lancers on youtube. I do like the sound of stock exhaust all the way back with a muffler delete, but it's not everyone's cup of tea

Here's the one I found on ebay.

Couldn't find one with muffler delete like you said.

I think it's 2 1/2. I bought it. It hasn't come in the mail yet.
