Just for ****s and giggles

Let's say, and I'm purely dreaming right here, how much do you think it would cost to put everything on my car listed below, and how much faster do you think it would go??

Tein Coilovers
RRM Camber kit
RRM Front and Rear Strut Bars
RRM Rear Sway Bar and AutoCross Perches
Brembo Slotted Rotors
Kevlar Brake Pads
RRM Front LSD
RRM Pressure Plate and Clutch
Injen Cold Air Intake
GReddy Catback Exhaust
Magnacore Spark Plug Wires
RRM Header
RRM Bored Throttle Body
RRM Intake Manifold
RRM Forged Pistons
Pauter Rods
RRM Front Mounted Intercooler

$500. Oh wait, I'm dreaming too.

I got an idea, pull out that little thing called a calculator, open up your browser, type in www.roadracemotorsports.com, and put those little fingers to use.

By quickly adding it up, I got roughly $11,500. Obviously, add shipping and install for the true cost. Assuming you'd then strip the car for weight reduction and get some good tires, you're looking at 12s or 13s.

if u turn the boost up to about 13 or 15 PSi im guessing you could run a mid to high 12 (with stripping everything down for weight reduction).

with boost at 13 - 15 you would be running mid to low 12's if you could get traction.

and assuming your not an automatic.

Like I said, dreaming, damnit. And for the ******* that decides they like to bash people that don't make a high income and probably have mommy and daddy that bought their car (and if u didn't good for you, some people haven't hit the career stage of their life, some are still in school and still just working at jobs) We can't afford the overpriced death trap you call an EVO. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice car, but if I were to spend that much money I'd go with a Subaru STi, I just like the way it looks and I've always loved Subarus, since the 2000 2.5 rs that wasn't even turbo. Needless to say I don't plan on spending that much on my car, ever. I was wishful thinking, and like the title says for ****s and giggles.

True. It's sad to see Lancer owners saying "just get an Evo." Especially when we have the RRM drag Lancer to show what is possible. If someone buys a Lancer and mods it, good for them. Part of the fun is making the car yours, not buying something already set up. That's why half of us are here - because we enjoy making our cars our own.

Don't even go there. It's been asked a thousand times. It would cost a lot, and you'd still have FWD... and before you even think it, don't go there either. It's been asked 2 thousand times, and it would cost a lot more.

Well, the good news is that you dont need a few of things you mentioned such as the autocross perches or the FMIC. The RRM IC Turbo includes the FMIC (at least it did last time I checked). Isn't it easier and cheaper to have the ECU remapped vs getting a piggy back?

Another thing I noticed is that no one who owns an evo told you to get one. The best car of someone that posted was the OZ, so thanks, but we're not *******s.
