Hey guys, I'm fairly new to Lancers, I know a bit about the engines and specs but I'm slightly at a loss 😅 I own an 03 Oz Rally haven't done much to it yet. Has anyone done this engine swap? And if so has the car improved much? I know the CE9A has slightly more horsepower than the 4G94 but other than that I'm a complete noob :P any insight or advice guys? It would be greatly appreciated!!

Oops. Well if that doesn't say newbie idk what does. Would an evo3 engine (I don't know the code >___>) be a plausible engine swap? Or would it be better to stay NA?

 

It simply will not work. EVO 3 motors are in a different direction than the 4G94 motors.

YOu could* swap in a 4G63 motor for some $$ or a 4G64 for some money, but at that point you are exceeding the value of the car 3 fold.

4G63's are generally turbocharged...there were a few that were not, but very rare...especially in North America...


how much power are you looking to make? anything over 200whp you'll need a turbo...
