Frustrated Buschur intake

Well i got by couplink today...i'll tell you my story of installation....welll i tore up my stock air box with the MAS bolts.....when buschur sent me the intake they sent me the wrong couplink and i had to pay 8$ to ship it back and then i got the right couplink and then the four bolts on the filter didnt fit the MAS bolt so i could only use 3 of the 4 bolts..a little disappointed...i have already waited for the right couplink to come in the mail and if i snd anything back ill have to pay the butt load to send it back to get the right pieces....well....after destroying my stock air box (which was my fault but unavoidable) i finally got the SRI on with 3 bolts and it sounds good and i notice gains.....i called buschur about the filter not fitting and all they could do was tell me to call back tomorrow or monday and wait a couple more days since i have already waited and paid for the right peices after having got the wrong peices....well im happy with the intake nontheless....though it has only 3 bolts that fit, i can deal......if i ever need to put back on my stock intake what the hell do i do?....all four of the plastic bolt things are busted off and the air box is cracked......but...i got the SRI installed...its nice....but i still seem to be frustrated....and not with the stock air box i mutilated...=/

Since I just ordered mine, I say A) sorry to hear that and B) I hope I have better luck.

As for the stock airbox, I think you may be stuck. Gotta be careful with that. I feel for ya, I had some issues with mine and broke part too.

Destroying the airbox isn't unavoidable. After cracking it with the first one, I took the other 3 off with an air wrench and they came off smooth and clean.

Am I the only one who had no problems with those bolts? I broke the damn snorkel, but I got the four bolts right off.

sorry to hear about the intake. its my thought that if a company sends the wrong part, they should pay to send you the new one and pay for you to ship the wrong one back.

my stock intake came off without any problems. its sitting in my garage in perfect condition. I don't know why people have such a tough time removing it hehe ??

You can stick a 12mm wrench on the flat sides of the bolts to loosen them without busting the little plastic tabs.

My filter didnt fit at first either, i had to use a metal wedge and hammer it until it fit, but it wasnt a big deal, and it was just slightly off. I used vice grips to grip the flat sides and that worked fine. Im pretty happy with it, it sounds cool.

Yeah, we learned that you had to take the 4 bolts off the filter, put the MAS on, then push the bolts through and screw them in. Then put the nuts on. Not a perfect fit, but it was doable. I still had no problem with removal. I guess it just depends on the car.
