My new lancer. What to look for

Hello i jut got my hands on a 2008 Mitsubishi lancer GTS Red 101K
and i am here to see what to look for on the future maintenance wise
and big jobs like the timing belts ect

Congrats on the Gts, hopefully it's working out for you. I would recommend running full synthetic oil and changing it every 4-5000 miles. It uses a timing chain so you don't necessarily have to replace the unless there is excessive wear or a broken tooth. One of the few things I ran into my Gts was the connecting rod bolts failed which resulted in damaging my crankshaft. It started out as a slight rattle around 3000 rpms and then one day bam,it hit the fan. It could have been prevented I have would have gotten it checked out as soon as I noticed the rattle....anyway,cheers and enjoy the car
