2009 Mitsubishi idle issue
2009 Mitsubishi idle issue
Hello everyone,
I am new to this forum and want to see if I can get some advice for an issue that I am having with my 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer ES 2.0. To get right to the question, the problem I am having is when I am in motion and press the clutch in, the engine RPM fall to almost zero and then bounce back up to 500-600. Sometimes, but rarely, the engine will actually stall out, but always starts right back up easily. Another thing is that it idles super low at about 500-600 RPM but if I start it and just leave it idle it never stalls, but sometimes the RPM will bounce a little. The only time it ever stalls or falls really low is when I'm moving, press the clutch in, and let the RPM drop to what would be a normal idle.
Furthermore, the engine runs beautifully otherwise and has absolutely no other issues, and doesn't display a check engine light. I am thinking it is a fuel or air issue but am not completely sure. If anyone has had this issue, knows what it could be, and has some advice as to what the issue could be, I would greatly appreciate the help because I am very confused about what this could be.
Thank you in advance
