Quad throttle body?

I was looking on vision imports site and read about the quad throttle bodies from rpw
They say it can increase HP from 40-50%
I dont know anything about throttle bodies, but is that true? and will these work on our cars?
Heres a link to rpw website

you can do this along with turbo and be even better
RPW has to be one of the best companies for our cars out there, but not many of us in the us have had to much experience with them, yet everything they make seems to be top quality if not the best.
I was planning on getting there cam shaft and cam gears in the future as well. Seems like with all this stuff you can get 200 hp n/a

Good luck, gents. Not to **** on any parades, but this has been covered before in depth. Here's the short answer for low 13's:
You're gonna need more money than turboing the car.
You're gonna need to MASTER fuel management throughout the powerband with something like the AEM UEGO (talk to HobieKopek about how not simple this is)
Engine will need to be totally built
don't forget a whole new fuel delivery system (fuel pump, injectors, rail- the works)
Oh, you wanted to drive it to school now? Sorry, but unless RPW/Dave has changed something radically since I last asked him about the quad TB this is not a streetable car.

For that matter, the dual TB isn't feasable for all the same reasons listed above.

Unless RPW has finally taken the dual TB with stock MAS project off the shelf and put some R&D into it, this level of tuning is going to be nearly impossible without a dedicated dyno with WBO2, a mastery of fuel management and a boat load of money.

In all seriousness, this is something that I'd though about doing for a long time, but Dave at RPW basically talked me out of it. Everytime I've brought it up he says "not a good idea if this is going to be a daily or even occasional driver. These kits as they stand are designed for track use by people why can afford to totally rebuild an engine and start over if need be."
That's why I respect him.

vision imports website didnt say anything about the ride, and said that the cost compared to the turbo is not even close, with almost the same performance.

Thank you engineer boy you have all the answer for everyone.

You are correct in terms that the qauds really are for the more race orientated people.

But we have put the twin TB system back online with a MAS sensor system compatible to be used with a Greddy E-Manage system.

So don't despaire we havn't forgotten.

Our new deisgn will include a complete revamped intake manifold design with a parallel twin throttle body with a single air intake kit. It is going to be very nice and testd on some 1.8 lancers in the next 5 - 6 weeks.

N/A vehicles are fantastic to drive and I have always loved them so we are focusing back on these in an effort to bring some more items back to everyone.

Also note we now have several new dealers who are very keen to market our products so look around and find a new one close to you.

Vision was quoting mt $750.00 (or thereabouts) for the original TwinTB kit, so this one will probably be a little more.

VERY exciting news Dave!!

The quad TB was attempted before on a 4G93 but we ran into SEVERE tuning issues. If you go this route, I hope you have extensive knowledge of cars, both as a mechanic and as a tuner. When the car was running, it was an NA beast, but there were so many bugs and issues (mostly money) that pushed the project on the back burner.
