You can take it to a local exhaust shop and have them reweld the hangars on the muffler so it lines up better.

As for the welding question, are you talking about how to attach the muffler to the rest of the exhaust piping? If so, I don't see any advantage or disadvantage to welding or clamping in a performance aspect.

Very strange. Mine never twisted like that (and still doesn't). I'd make certain it's hung properly, inform Buschur Racing and either get it fixed locally or see if Buschur will replace the muffler. It may be as simple as a hanger that was bent in shipping or accidentally welded in place improperly.

As for clamps vs welding I'd recommend leaving it clamped in case you ever need to take apart your exhaust. It makes things a lot easier that way.

There is one hanger that is located between the bumper and the wheel well. There is extra room on it for lateral movement. All you have to do is slide it over to where you need it and then wrap some duct tape (or something( to stop it from sliding back to where you dont want it. Since the problem is located on a hanger it will not get hot. I used a bushing from some old skateboard trucks on mine but you can find something laying around your garage yourself to use.

*note* it is the hanger that is towards the outside of the car near where your axel back attached to the midpipe.

that seems to be the best approach. the thing is... thats how the shop installed it... and i kept noticing that it moves when the car start or "walks" and sometimes when im driving it sound like the air is escaping thru the clamp.... but that was just a preferance question. hey btw can i get pix of you muffler?? thnx.

also, im strapped for cash, i work like 10 hours a week so i get 82 bucks every 2 weeks.....
