afc is just an air/fuel convertor not like a full piggy back...

u splice into the a/f wires and it basically tells the computer how much fuel to put in based on teh RPMs.

its nice but ive heard it doesnt work on our lancer because our ECU has 18 other sensors that it goes off of...all u can do with it is LESSEN the amount of fuel...

somewhere someone said if u cut an o2 sensor...say on the exhaust mani, have that run to a wideband o2 sensor, so YOU know the air fuel ratio, you could tune off of that...hoping the ECU goes into 'limp' mode throwing a lot of fuel in the engine, but u'd be able to take it out using the AFC...its a cheap trick but worked on a focus i think. thers a HUGE thread somewhere in the forum so u can search for it.

Lexus iS300 ppl will get an intake and axelback exhaust and get a s-afc to tune and they get great results..but they got an 3.0 liter Inline6...
