Header Q's

My friend have a 95 Civic Ex manual with 4-1 header + intake.
He wanted to race me because he thought it's going to be so easy to kill
my Lancer.
Well back then my Pearl OZ was stock, and he won only by a half of a car.

Now my q's is can I put RRM header on my OZ without changing the exhaust???
Maybe it doesn't make a lot of sense but I should get big gains with the
aftermarket header.

Exhaust will come after Christmas.

That's how I did my exhaust.
I baught Kamikaze headers, hooked it up to my stock exhaust. I kept it that way for about 2-3 months, then I upgraded my catback this weekend.

With only headers and dowpipe, I did gain a bit on top end.

i installed my kamikaze header before i got my exhaust. i noticed a huge difference in top end power. i'm positive with the header you will be right next to him, if not beat him. after you get the exhaust he probably wont even be able to keep up with you. well assuming he stops modding.
