header installed! now i have some qs!

hey guys i had my headers installed tha other day and i was wondering if poping noise is that normal? its not that bad but you can hear it sometimes and also it seems like my car is slower for some reason? i havent taken it on tha expressway yet but does it take time for my car to adjust to it for tha performance gains to come out?

You may want to try resetting the ECU and let it learn again. Disconnect the battery for 15 mins and reconnect. Let it idle for a few mins without touching the gas. Where is the popping noise coming from? Header or exhaust outlet?

Clam down, dude. All u need to do is disconnect the negative terminal from the battery and then grab a cold one and wait for 15 - 20 minutes. Then re connnect the terminal and start the car and let it idle for a few minutes.

It's going to be slow because you took out the first catalytic converter. I am starting to learn more about exhaust back pressure from these guys on the forum and since you took out the first cat - it IS going to be a little slower because you removed that restriction. You will most cartainly gain mid - to top end power when you accelerate into the upper RPM's. Just relax and you'll be fine. Enjoy your new equipment.

BTW - what brand are you running ???
