I just checked out a carfax on my car (was bored) and there is a recall for the fan controller.

has anyone done this? what's it do?
how long do you have to drop off your car for?

 

ah just got off the phone with my service department

they said it takes 30-45 minutes but I still don't know what it does.

seems alldata is out of date.
this recall happened on 23 of this month.
they dont' have anything for the 2002 Lancer since apr of this year.

er wtf. my lancer is in great shape. knock on wood.

I wanna know what it is too. I was on my Mits account to pay my car payment and it just said there was a recall on it and to contact my mits dealer to get it fixed. I wish they'd recall our cars completily and pay my pay-off. I wanna WRX

 

well my appointment to get whatever it is fixed is this thursday at 1... will be on later to tell ya what it is.

I actually had this done about two weeks ago. I didn't know it was a recall, but mine stopped working so I took it in and they fixed it. They should recall the rear struts too, because those went on mine as well.

 

well actually, u shouldnt have to take off ur mods for this one. since it isnt an aftermarket defect....

 

Called Mitsu US today and they asked me for the last 8 digit of my VIN and they said I don't need to have mine replaced since it only affect a certain lot of Lancers produced between such and such a date ....blah blah blah
