Cool EVO VII, here I come

Hi guys, this is my first post on the board. I just want to inform you guys that I talk to the manager at my local Mitsu dealer today(he's "THE" manager, not just a sales manager) about pre-ordering an EVO VII, he told me the car will be deliver to him in late March orearly April, I will be buying it MSRP. He told me to come back to him next month, that's when he starts receiving customer orders, and we can start the paper work. I mentioned to him various sources has been saying the car isn't going to be for sale until late of next year, he said it isnt true, he WILL get it March or April. Whatever, I am ready for it now anway.

Here is a pic of my current car at the Fast And The Furious premiere, thought I'd share with you guys, peace!

Ask for some paperwork that proves the arrival of the Evo. If he has it then I'll believe it, but until then no one can really know when it comes except the top guys at Mitsubishi.

I might not even be his fault if it was late... it could just be delays that no one saw coming. I hope it does arrive in March though... perfect timing

It hasn't been released yet. Most people are expecting it to be around $30K, but hoping for $25K-$28K.

I think the price should be like $25-$27.
It should not be over than that technically speaking, since they are trying to compete with the WRX.

Nobody's said it yet.....I guess I'm gonna have to be the one

"Looks Fast"

That's a nice ride man. I'm on a couple of the celica boards (newcelica.org and newcelica.net). Are you on either of 'em?

I was gonna buy a Celica before I got in my accident, but after that I had no $$$, thus the Saturn

I'm out,

I am very sure evo is going to be about 35 grand. If it comes with recaros, brembos and those momo touches, and all those techno gadgets like ACD etc etc. IT would sell like crazy, especially with its corvette eating performance.

Thumbs up

yo djdaizzy.. good to see you here.. i know a lot of current and ex celica owners are going to try and make the change and get the evo.. like my self.. good to see u made the most of your car.. i remember seeing your car back in the day over on the old celica.net forums.. i dont post much on any of the celica forums anymore because obviously i dont have my gts anymore.. and all the topics are stuff i already know about which was discussed back in 2000.. the good ol days.. anyways good to see u here.. hopefully we will be future evo owners..

and the looks fast comment.. toyota is stupid.. but they are smart.. they used the celica's looks to market their car.. the action package is available in any trim of the celica.. from the top of the line gts 6 speed.. to the base model gt automatic.. this obviously is toyota's marketting idea to sell the celica with its looks.. which obviously worked.. but back in the day that same *action package* kit u see was once the TRD kit which was very hard to get and very expensive.. although it may look fast.. it is fast... at its release the only car in its class that performed better than the celica gts was honda's praised limited edition raced prepped more horsepower more expensive integra type r..
for a n/a 4 banger with only 180hp.. the celica performs pretty good
14.9 1/4 and with intake a friend of mine hit 14.3.. everything else stock
and someone else on the celica boards hit 14.1 with basic bolt ons.. all motor.. not bad.. watch out when the blitz supercharger comes out and more forced induction options are relased..

as i like to say..
