Help: Trying to find a shift knob

I've been searching for a shift knob for a while now but I can't seem to find exactly what I want - so maybe you guys can help. Basically I'm looking for just a plain old brushed alumnium ball.. nothing too flashy; don't want 4 holes in the top with leds and "GReddy" etched in.. just a lighter weight aluminum ball. The only ones I've found that match my description are like +$80.. If I'm just buying a ball, I'd rather spend a bit less than that. If you could help me out in any way, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

just my opinion, but id go with the B&M short shifter, youd get the knob you want, plus a little better performace and better feel, but if you dont wanna do that you can always call B&M and see if theyll just sell you the knob.

Or you can get the brushed aluminum ralliart knob for the evo 8 at your local dealership. It has the 5 speed shift pattern on it.

The ebay ("Streetcustoms") short shifter comes with a knob like you're describing. This was certainly one of the BEST things I've done to my car when coupled with all the Kartboy shifter bushings.

I say go for the full package.

The Kartboy shifter sounds like what you want, and you can get it in black if you want. Check my registry for a pic of it.

i'm not a huge fan of the little kartboy button on top of the shift knob.. all i want is a round brushed aluminum ball - you wouldn't think it'd be this hard to find one :[

hmm he said it weighs more than the stock one.. stock one weighs a lot though - will a lighter shift knob really make the throws a lot smoother?

not from what i've heard. everyone says a heavier knob makes it smoother. more leverage (and momentum) at the top. and the stock evo 8 knob is VERY light. the stock oz knob was pretty heavy though.

where'd you get the evo 8 knob? did it screw right on or was it hard work?
