i am a new member here but i dont have a lancer my cousin does and i would like to help him find new parts for his 03 OZ rally. I have a 2.5RS impreza and my brother has a 04 WRX so please dont hold that against us. but i have losts of newbie questions about the lancer OZ rally MY03 so i can make my cousions car the capable of its ut most potential? SP?... so we can hold are own family show down 2.5 rs VS OZ ralley LOL. First what parts can fit the 2003 OZ rally can you swap parts from the evo like you can with the WRX AND the STI in to a stock 2.5 RS and if not could u drop some good links please!! and i am looking to help him with some body mods because i hope to drop a evo 2-5 front clip in if it will fit in his OZ please help i want his Lancer to be the best it possibaly can be... sorry for any miss spelled words i am only a subaru driver LOL

 

Search around and you'll find all the information you're looking for. But right off the bat, you may be disappointed... while you can get some nice power with a turbo kit, you can't swap in Evo parts for anything but a couple of visual changes. Just search around and tell your cousin to do the same and you'll learn a lot more than starting a thread where everyone's going to tell you to search.

Go here, they have plenty are part upgrades for the 03 lancer...and always remember this, the OZ Rally is just an es / ls with rims, bumper lips, and a wing. :-)

 

dont forget different suspension and sway bar... at least from the es

 

Front suspension is different, rear is the same. The only difference up front is the size of the spring perch, so it's not entirely different. Also, the bolt pattern is 4x100mm as opposed to the LS/OZ's 4x114.3mm. As far as engine mechcanical and drivetrain mechanical are concerned they're identical excluding added features such as cruise control and, in the case of the LS, available ABS.

Ok seriously, remind your cousin that the potential of his Lancer is much less than that of an RS or WRX, but Road Race Motorsports has plenty of great parts for the Lancer as well as the Impreza With the help of Road Race and a few other common tuning shops, I have been able to make my Lancer somewhat competitive against other STS cars (which includes the RS) in autocross. And of course, a turbo would do wonders if I wasn't limiting myself by class. Run a search on this site for RPW and you'll find some good engine internals, that can either compliment the Road Race parts, or improve the Lancer by themselves.

I coudnl't stand a vehicle with beige/sandstone interior, yech

 

and a rear sway bar, and white guages, and cruise control as standard. Also, the shocks are different on the OZ compared to the ES, not that either is better just different. But you're right, the OZ is still a dressed up ES in many respects.
