Which Brake Pads?????????

After 27,000 miles, its time to put new brake pads in up front. Which ones do you guys reccomend from RRM? I am keeping the stock rotors, and the car is my daily driver and does NOT get driven hard or raced in any way. I was just want a good OEM upgrade but they have to be quiet, work good for the street, and be "clean".

1) Axxis Ultimate
2) Axxis Severe Duty
3) Porterfield Carbon Kevlar
4) ?? something else ??

Thanks guys..............

either of the axxis seem to do well.
I use mine to drive 4 miles to work, so I just got cheap oem replacements.

EBC has brakes too. they make both green stuff (street) and red stuff (street/strip). you could check into that too if you want.

I actually asked about the EBC pads on here a while back and got negative responses on them. I currently run the Axxiss Ultimate pads and LOVE them. Huge improvement on stock

EDIT: now I see the "clean" part of your post, you'll have to get something other than the Axxiss or Porterfield pads, they generate a fair amount of dust

Does it really matter? It isn't a high performance car, you don't have upgraded brakes.

Definately don't take the cheapest route, but theres no need to get expensive with special brands.

Well, I figured ~$80 isn't bad at all for a good set of pads. Brakes are one area where I don't take the cheap way out...........

I have EBC's and I asked on here about them, and got a negative response, but there worth it, people dont like them cause there loud on the road but I like that, and plus Im stopping about 2ft. faster than they are also.

I think I get less dust with my Axxis pads than I did with the OEM Besides, why aren't you using a decent wheel cleaner that'll take the roadgrime off, too? A bottle of Meguiars wheel claner and a wheel brush is less than $10 and it takes about 5 mintues to do the wheels when you're washing the car anyway.
For my money, the $80 for the axxis pads is way better than the $40 "lifetime" pads you're gonna get at your local autoparts store that chew your rotors, thereby adding the cost of new rotors every once in a while.

For reference, my rotors are still in really good shape and I autocross with the Axxis "posi-grip" (the Axxis pads that RRM had before they got the "real" Axxis pads )
