just read

i've been thinking... if u took the 7's or 8's fron end... FB, Hood, Fenders and headlights... would it work out?... i've been looking at pictures of the car all day... i'm really starting to wonder... i know ppl have asked about the hood fitting or the fb fitting.. or the headlighs fitting. but if we took the whole frond " 1 / 2 " and attached it... in theory would it fit, possibly? ( i know the 8 looks bad on the boxier (( if thats a werd )) 02.03 body style but im just wondering....)

I had to read that at least 5 times to understand what was going on.

you want to attach a front clip of an evo to your lancer since you recently got into a wreck correct?
are you going to keep your engine? cuz you will have to chance the drive shaft and everything if you get the evo one to work correctly.

and if I remember correctly the evo's are a little wider than our lancers... I'm not even close to sure on it, and don't want to look it up right now though.

i dont think he wants to physically attach a evo front end to his lancer. i think he's asking if its possible to swap out the body parts (the whole front end). well at least thats what i gather from his post. i'm not sure if it'll bolt right up, but most have said custom work would need to be done.

in that case wouldn't it just be cheaper to buy one of the evo 7 conversions?

I would think that would be cheaper than getting genuine evo 7 or 8 front end pieces.

yeah your probably right. evo 7 conversion.....maybe some new accolade fenders, or used stock.....maybe jdm headlights, or used stock. yeah i'm pretty sure you'll still save a lot of money. the headlights and hood from the evo alone are going to be expensive.

^ actually we're talking about the evo 7 front end conversion for the 02-03 lancer. not the original. yeah you're right though, the original 7 or 8 bodyparts will require some modification.
