Question Lancer Problems

Is there a thread anywhere where people have posted the problems they have had with their Lancers? I'm sure there must be. Mine is only a 2003 with 10000km and already, the power locks don't work, one power window doesn't work, and I can't even put the key in the driver side door. Post up if anybody has had problems like this or please point me in the direction of the right thread Thanks.

actually I dont' think there is one.

over 2 years and I havne't had anything wrong with my lancer
and ... at least on these forums... people tend to wreck them before they break down.

I'd recommend just taking it to the dealership. Either that or check all your fuses. The door lock is probably a damaged cylinder from ice, abuse, or an attempted break-in.

Any dealership is obligated to service you, not just the one where you purchased the car.

I put 93,000km on my lancer until I had to park it this year and the only issues i've had
is that there is a loud whistle noise when I go faster than 110km/h..

Check your fuses then take it to the dealership. I don't think this should be a tech thread. There's no tech content, and there's likely to be very little.

my cute friend alicia drives a 2003 lancer like mine (ES and everything) and her power locks are running out or something, and she's having window and brake problems too. I am expierencing brake problems as well, but i'm sure i can fix that. My car is only at 40k miles.

Check the pads and fluid levels. Nothin' too shocking there. If you don't keep an eye on stuff like that it can sometimes degrade fairly quickly. Especially if you're a little harder on the brakes than most or have a tendency to ride them. The locking mechanism is easy to break if you've ever taken the door panel apart. I'm guessing something just popped out of place. Window problem is probably motor related.

wow, thats alot of stuff wrong. Id find a dealership anywhere near u and ask some questions. Like hobie said, the brake thing isnt big. have the breaks been changed yet? break fluids ok? little things like that, making sure u have coolant, change oil every 3,000. If u dont change ur breaks they will **** up ur rotars. good luck with that bro.
