my lancer is demolished..... i should be dead
im sorry bro about what happend and glad you and ur girl werent hurt....but as far as insurance goes... i totalledmy first car and my insurance went up soo much about an extra $175 a month, and like 6 insurance points... i hope you got that tractor trailers company info and the drivers info b/c they were at fault. he was speeding and in result he skidded and blocked up the interstate...he caused you to total your car..u really had no choice. if you got his info...go thru his insurance so they can re-imburst you for everything you put into it.... if you dont have any of his info then its gonna be all out of ur pocket which sucks. youll probably rack up a few insurance points & surcharges for totalling a car and they will give you $ for what ur cars worth.... now im not exact on this info...im just saying what happened in my situation...good luck n let me kno what happens.
ok well i found out some information, and i am officially SCREWED. i just found out that my insurance was cancelled about a month ago because my mom forgot to send our payment to the company. so basically they're not going to cover anything. they have to assign us a totally new policy because they cancelled the old one. i was told however to contact the semi's (the one that came from behind and completely demolished my car) company and file a claim under their insurance...... well more bad news. the state police told me that by the time they figure out all the drivers/vehicles/information/interviews/expenses, its going to be months.......months. i'm so SCREWED. i guess i'll have to keep paying for a car that i dont have. just when i thought things couldnt get any worse, they did. i dont know what i'm going to do.

lol, seriously... tell them your car is totaled in PA, give them the police dept's number and your insurance's number, the bank will then need to contact the semi's insurance for thier money... you should be no longer responable for those payments seeing your not the one at fault.
Wow. It amazes me how quickly you were able to react and know what to do. What a moving story.
From the CNN site: "Hunt said at one point he saw a man lying in the snow narrowly hurdled by a truck that went airborne and left the road." Was that you???
