new problems

first one: i just noticed, when my car starts up, i can hear a noise comming from the engine bay, not sure what it his, its a little higher pitch than the engine, and it sounds like a plastic or rubber noise... doesn't sound like metal. but right after start up in the cold weather ( indiana... its like 20 or lower right now ) i can hear it... first time was 2 days ago, and ever since i can hear it, just till i give gas for a second or to then its fine ( automatic... not 5-speed ). any ideas.

2nd one: I bought my break pads and rotors about 4 months ago, and put them on about 3 months ago. they work great and i love the way the look behind the stock rims, bling bling! (j/k). any way i started to notice that they are making the loud squeling noise that tells you your pads are getting low. now i didn't expect this with Axxis Ultimates after 3 months of city driving with no hard or long constant breaking. maybe a few were the i had to press a little harder than normal but nothing contastly. its starting to sound like my factory pads with lasted me about a year and 1/2... when i took the factoru units out, they were ~1/4 including the back of the pad. then i put the new axxis pads in!!! they looked 6xs as thick as the used factory ones, how is it they are already gone. ( i also put new rotors on, Cross Drilled and Slotted. ) i talked to a few people on the forums. Bobaab who does autox said he has the same pads but factory rotors. he told me he used the same pads for 3 autox events a another event also and they are still fine...

anyway i hate to make this post any longer otherwise people wont read it.

first one just sounds like a belt is getting glazed a little. How many miles do you have? if more than 30K it's about time to get new belts anyway

The brake problem is most likely brake dust. Pull your wheels off and blow out all the dust and dirt.
