Just get some good bulbs. Not only are HIDs illegal, I'm sure something your parents won't be so hot on, but they also blind other drivers.

my "cheapo" bulbs are getting all weird..... u know that little rough texture part on the top of the bulb? it started chipping off, and the glass part of the bulb is getting kinda blurry (feels like a lotta small scratches) i think its caused by the high heat..... i'll switch to silverstar asap, dont wanna spend hundreds on a new harness or worse, on the electronics......

don't waste your time with silverstars. i had them, and they really weren't that white, weren't much brighter (if at all) and burned out in only a few months. go with catz bulbs (galaxy white looks really nice). you can find em on ebay for under 40 bucks, and they have a really great look to them. check out the pics here:

btw, those pics were of just the LOW beams. high beams are even brighter.

so these bulbs dont require anymore wattage like some of the other cheap ones do. if that is the case i might have to pick up a set of those instead because i knew silverstars were the right wattage so i was just going to get them. and thanks for letting me know about these
