Bunch of New Mods
Today was a good day for me, I managed to get 3 new mods into my car despite the fact I was hungover from too much rum. I installed the ralliart (the real ones from the ralliart lancer) seats I picked up on this site, the RRM header and the progress sway bar and perches. Guess I'll give some reviews on the install and the results.
The header was a reasonably easy install, that lower left nut was a real pain in the *** but I used that rope trick and it came off fine. After doing some adjustments, the car was good to go and upon start up it definitely sounded different, meaner almost. After doing the other installs I took it out with my sister's boyfriend and a buddy, who helped with the install, and there was a definite gain. It wasn't like the intake where you gained a bunch more noise and a little more pep this was more you gained some noise and a whole lot more pep, I accidently hit 120 on a 80 road cause I wasn't used to having the extra juice.
The sway bar and perches took some work mainly cause the holes on the chassis for mounting were full of that undercoating crap. I ended up using an impact gun to drive the bolts in and open up the hole but apart from that the install was fine. I didn't notice much at low speeds but once I got on the highway changing lanes was smoother and the car simply felt tighter and more secure.
The seats were a real pain the ***. We had to cut off the mounts from the stock seats and weld them onto the new ones, which took a lot longer than originally thought. Once the seats were in though, it was all worth it. They provide more support, both in normal and spirited driving and they also allow for more fine tuning over the stock ES seats. For people wanting to upgrade their seats without having to hunt down some evo seats, take a look at the ralliart ones, for the price they can't be beat.

Yeah I'll take pics tomorrow, its dark out right now. The seats are a great mod, but if you get them, make sure they didn't cut the mounts off, unless you want some real fun.

hey congrats on the new mods and especially all in one day
. i have a quick question about the ralliart seats. do they normally fit right into the lancers bolts. the reason i ask this is i bought a set of racing seats and bought a set of brackets for it off of ebay and i have a lancer es and it said it was for the ralliart i figured they used the same mounting spots to the car so i wasnt sure if the ralliart seats bolted right in or not
. and sorry to ramble on thanks in advance.

Nice! Oh man.. that RRM header is going to be my next mod. Good job with the pictures. Most people always tell about their mods without showing pix, props to you! When I get my car back from First Class Auto tomorrow, I'll post pics of my new big project. It should be done before 6:00pm EST. =D

I still got the stock exhaust so the car's not much louder, it definitely sounds meaner, everyone who hears it comments on that now. Once you get to like 4k RPM, if you gun it, you can really hear the gases moving, sounds pretty cool actually. I think it made the intake louder too.
