Is this T-ing Into the ECU Wire? PIC

Is this what T-ing into the wire on the ecu instructions means? Not cutting the wire but stripping away the protective rubber and soldering the piggyback wire at that point?

Haha... you made a diagram .... yes that is T ing into the wire. But you shouldn't need that much exposed wire...

It might seems weird, but a lot of people have been asking about it. I think the diagram will clear a lot up for those people.
