Re: EVO VIII Guage Cluster

So, this summer I am painting some interior pieces so I get more points at car shows. Only problem i'm having is what to do w/ my guage cluster! So I was looking at the EVO VIII and I like what is going on w/ its guage cluster...that silver lining in the circles!! Thats HOTT! So heres a question for my lancer people and other EVO owners, does n e one sell a part like that or like how can i get something like that, it looks like an additional part thats on it, it doesnt look like its painted on.

You have to buy a evo 8 cluster and somehow integrate those circle things with your oz cluster. I'm sure they have the same dimensions. One thing you gotta remember with the regular lancer, there aren't that much show cosmetic options (or pretty much any options) so you pretty much have to do some of the stuff custom. But it looks like the plastic circle things on the evo might get removed and placed on the oz cluster, I'm not sure though.

Shouldn't be too bad, at least it'd be authentic, that'll help in shows.

that wasn't too hard, now was it

if you want "silver" in the circle part itself, just paint it with some good plastic silver paint. thats it

Well, will it? I've heard an Evo cluster will work in an ES. Sure my redline is at 6 and an Evo at 7. But I currently have a Ralliart cluster with redlines at 6.5 and everything works fine.

i have an evo VIII cluster in my 02 es. it works fine. you will never redline anyway. if you do, buy a bike, you don't deserve a car.
