Im waiting on my cf trunk lid to come in and I remember reading that when people put them on, they opened faster than hell. I was wondering if nebody found a way to fix that. I searched w/o ne luck so I was hopin somebody would have some advise.

i use bungy cords to slow it down... another method is to remove on of the stress bars right below the dome light in ur trunk. .. their long thin rods, just remove one

 

and make sure u use any means to slow ur trunk down b/c when it flies open and comes to a sudden stop it might cause cracks in the clearcoat

 

yeah there are bars or springs thaht you can mod to make the trunk open action less violent. where did you get the trunk and how much?

i have the VIS trunk and removed one of the tention bars. when i pop the trunk it comes up half way, very nice and easy. You have to do this, i forgot about the lightness and popped the trunk and it sounds horrible. i thought my trunk was going to crack!!!
