EVO VI -> VII, max torque 500 rpm later?

EVO VI -> VII, max torque 500 rpm later?
Glancing through the EVO7 .pdf, I noticed that the max torque on previous EVOs is at 3000 (2750 for the Tommi Makinen Edition). The VII has max torque at 3500 rpm. What changed to make it 500 higher?
Looking at the graph, it looks like most of the torque is there at around 3000, and it is 10Nm higher than previous, so maybe that's just an indication that they tuned it slightly better from 3000-3500.
