Fun Idea (how hard is it)

Aliright I was thinking about entering some car shows around my area... not performance, more for looks. Anyway I am wanting to do a Apex Rev/Speed Meter (MPH) which is just a RPM/MPH gauge that is seperate fromt he dash.. its not that costy, but I was wondering if that would be hard to set up in my lancer and you guys think that its a pretty cool idea. It looks like a little screen that has a computer image of a guage and acts like one I just though it would be a nice stylish look to the lancer. Thanks for all of your input guys/girls...

Its not that hard at all, I have something similar in my EVO that gives me a digital speed readout. You just need to find you the wires for the power, ground, rev, speedo that go to your ECU ....

I found one of my friends to help install one of those I really want to buy it now but.... I downloaded the manual for wiring my 02 lancer no where does it mention my engine 4G94... so does this mean It cannot be done or I just have or my friend will have to find out how to do it... ohh another question where is the stock ecu located on the lancer. I know this Rev/Speedometer uses ground, speed, rpm, power, and ignition power so any help would be very much appreciated I am kinda a newb when it comes to electronics on a car.. thank you.
